My children were 9 and 14 when they started virtual lessons with Sukh in 2020. Both were already having guitar lessons at school but hadn’t made much progress and practicing was a chore. "I was a lifelong wannabe guitarist (I'm nearly 47 years old now) but had never got round to learning - when I started lessons with Sukh I was an absolute beginner. It’s been a brilliant experience.  From the off Sukh's teaching included learning famous riffs and songs which made the experience really fun and certainly not just a load of dry exercises. At least once per lesson I find myself grinning like a loon because I am playing a little piece of music that I never imagined would be possible. My son watched some of the lessons and was so inspired that he has now taken up the guitar too and is learning with Sukh (he started aged eight). The course is tailored to music that I love, with theory and new techniques mixed in at appropriate points so both my skills and repertoire are building all the time. Throughout Sukh has been patient and friendly - he knows when to encourage and persevere but also when to ease off and try something different. I had wondered about whether remote lessons would work well but Sukh has built an incredible setup that allows visual aids and notes, close-ups to see particular pieces of detail in picking and fretting.
